New Group CEO for An Post
An Post Chairman Kieran Mulvey has announced the appointment of Fergal Leamy as Group Chief Executive of An Post to succeed David McRedmond who departs the Company after almost 10 years of service.
Mr Leamy was appointed following an extensive competitive search process overseen by the Board of An Post. He will take up the role in mid-August for a seven-year term.
Fergal Leamy has spent more than two decades leading and transforming organisations across Ireland, the UK, Australia and the United States. He has served as CEO of Glen Dimplex Group, Coillte DAC and Consolidated Pastoral Company, and earlier established and led Greencore’s US business.
Originally from County Waterford, Fergal is a Business & Law graduate of University College Dublin and has completed advanced high performance leadership programmes at the IMD and Harvard Business Schools.

Mr. Mulvey paid tribute to outgoing CEO David McRedmond for his leadership and vision in building the Company to revenues of over € 1 billion euro.
