DX’s new appointment “adds further impetus to growth strategy”
DX today announces the expansion of its Executive Leadership Team with the appointment of Karl Hodgkinson as Director of Strategic Growth – New Propositions & Integrated Solutions. This is a new role within the Group and reflects the continuing growth ambitions of DX following the appointment of its new CEO in June 2025.
Karl is assuming responsibility for a key area of DX’s growth strategy, the identification and development of new propositions. This will include expansion into new sectors and customer segments, as well as the introduction of new services. He will also identify more opportunities to bring the business’s capabilities together to create additional integrated logistics solutions for customers. Karl will work closely with the DX Board and other members of the Executive Leadership Team.
Karl has over 30 years’ experience in logistics, transport, and the supply chain sectors, with his experience spanning large-scale logistics operations, business transformation, acquisitions, and joint ventures. Karl joins DX from one of the largest, independently-owned logistics companies in the UK, Howard Tenens, where he held a number of senior positions. These included Group Development, Marketing & Innovation Director, for the past three years, and before that Managing Director – Logistics and Commercial Director.
Ian Truesdale, Chief Executive Officer of DX, commented: “We are delighted to appoint Karl to the Executive Leadership Team. His appointment adds further impetus to our growth strategy as we continue to identify new opportunities for DX. Karl brings a wealth of experience gained in senior positions across the logistics industry and will be a valuable addition to our leadership team.
“We have made significant progress over the past year and there is considerable momentum across DX. We are ambitious about what comes next and see significant opportunity to build on what we have already achieved. We intend to maintain that pace, continue investing in the business and deliver the next phase of DX’s development.”
