Jordan Customs signs agreement with DHL
DHL and Jordan Customs will exchange information and electronic data as part of the initiative.Jordan Customs has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DHL Express to organise working procedures at the logistics company’s facility in Queen Alia International Airport.
The partnership, which is part of Jordan Customs’ initiative to improve and simplify its procedures, will revolve around the exchange of information and electronic data between DHL and Jordan Customs.
“Signing this Memorandum of Understanding comes as an important step on the road to making real changes and developments in the logistics services industry,” said His Excellency Matab Al Zabn, general manager of Jordan Customs.
“The aim of Jordan Customs is to ease and speed up the shipping process for the commercial sector by means of express delivery. In addition, we are working to offer a unique 24-hour service every day of the year for citizens dealing with Jordan Customs and DHL,” he added.
As stipulated by the agreement, Jordan Customs has provided qualified staff to work at the DHL customs clearing centre to coordinate with the regulatory bodies and offer round-the-clock services.
