From AFX NEWS, February 6th, 2001
FRANKFURT (AFX) – Deutsche Post AG is expected to be fined in “two-digit millions” by the European Commission for anti-competition practices, Die Welt newspaper said, citing sources in Brussels.
It said the EU’s decision in one of the three investigations against Deutsche Post has already been made. The only issue open is the exact amount of penalty, it added.
It said Deutsche Post will also receive a letter before Easter from the EU telling the company it should no longer give discounts to big clients in its parcel service.
