Business Post launches iMail (UK)
The service will enable people to produce and pay for a letter to be sent from the comfort of their computer.
Business Post Chief Executive Guy Buswell explains: “It’s designed for home-workers, SMEs, corporations – anyone who needs to send a letter or document in the post.
“When the user logs on to our site and presses print on their letter, it will be printed out at one of our depots, put in an envelope and posted out.
“The cost saving is up to 40 pct on the real-time cost of writing a letter, buying a stamp and walking to the post box,” says Buswell.
UK Mail has been trialling iMail for the past few months and will launch it on 19 November.
“In time we plan to add postcards and telegrams,” says Buswell.
