Swiss Post has appointed Dieter Bambauer as the new head of their PostLogistics group unit.

Swiss Post has appointed Dieter Bambauer as the new head of their PostLogistics group unit.

The 50 year-old will take up his new position on 1 October, while at the same time joining the Executive Management team.

A person with management experience and broad national and international logistics expertise, Bambauer will assume responsibility for a core area of Swiss Post. He is currently CEO of Schenker Schweiz and Hangartner, both subsidiaries of Deutsche Bahn.

In appointing Bambauer as the new head of PostLogistics, he will take over from Michel Kunz, the new CEO of Swiss Post. Didier Kreienbühl, head of HR at the group unit, has acted as interim head of PostLogistics since 1 April.
