FedEx Kinko’s has exited the UK market with the sale of its five UK sites to Printing Investments, which trades as The Color Company, for an undisclosed sum, reports printweek.com.

The move includes the sale of five of the print and mailing company’s branches – four in the centre of London and one in Reading. They will be rebranded under The Color Company banner.

Based in London, digital and print management business The Color Company was established in 1996 and came under new ownership in 2005.

Managing director Elgin Loane said he did not wish to comment on the acquisition.

The Color Company offers design, print, fulfilment and marketing support to the financial market, which includes many high-street names, and corporate and construction-based clients.

It is not known whether all FedEx staff have been transferred with the move.

FedEx Corporation purchased high-street copy shop chain Kinko’s for $2.4bn (£1.32bn) in 2004. FedEx Corporation declined to comment on the sale.
