FedEx Corp disclosed on 8 June that Ambassador Susan Schwab, US trade representative from 2006 to 2009, has been appointed to its board of directors and as member of the board’s Compensation Committee.
FedEx Corp disclosed on 8 June that Ambassador Susan Schwab, US trade representative from 2006 to 2009, has been appointed to its board of directors and as member of the board’s Compensation Committee.
Ambassador Schwab is a professor at the University of Maryland’s School of Public Policy. She served as dean of the school from 1995 to 2003 and was president of the University System of Maryland Foundation before rejoining the US Government in 2005. In the early 1990s she was director of business development for Motorola.
Other government positions held by Ambassador Schwab have included director-general of the US & Foreign Commercial Service of the US Department of Commerce; trade policy officer at the US Embassy in Tokyo, Japan; and senior aide to former US Senator John C. Danforth.
She currently also serves on the board of directors of Caterpillar Inc.
