DHL has established a retail alliance with Dawood Islamic Bank Limited (DIBL) in Pakistan and has inaugurated the first DHL Service Point through this partnership.

With the new alliance, DHL will be setting up 15 new Service Points through DIBL’s branches nationwide by the end of 2009.

Located at DIBL’s Sir Syed Road branch in Karachi, it marks DHL’s 44th Service Point in Pakistan and enhances the accessibility, reach and convenience that DHL’s vast retail network offers to customers across the nation.

Najeeb Ullah Khan, direct sales manager, DHL said: “Expanding DHL’s retail footprint is one of our prime mandates for 2009. The opening of this Service Point signals our commitment to our customers in Pakistan as we remain on track to achieving our goal. All our Service Points are fully equipped to handle domestic and international shipments, offering a one-stop shop solution for customers. Our partnership with DIBL will extend our retail footprint in Pakistan as we offer greater convenience for customers.”

“Today, it is increasingly important to differentiate ourselves and constantly focus on customers’ requirements. As a popular financial institution, DIBL is a strategic fit for our business as we continue to extend our retail footprint in Pakistan and provide our customers with convenient access to financial services when they walk in to collect or send their documents and parcels,” he added.
