Brussels authorises aid for Sernam (Bruxelles autorise une aide a la Sernam)

The European Commission ahs decided to give restructuring aid of 448m euros to Sernam, a subsidiary of French national rail group SNCF. The payment will allow Sernam to be taken over by parcel delivery company Geodis. Sernam fits the bill of a company in difficulty according to the Commission, and if taken over by Geodis, could be viable again in under four years time. Abstracted from Le Figaro in French.
