Subramanian promoted at DHL Express India

DHL has announced the appointment of R.S. Subramanian as country manager for DHL Express India. Prior to his current position, Subramanian was vice president, Rest of South Asia (RoSA), where he was handling DHL Express operations in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives and Bhutan.

Speaking on the appointment, Malcolm Monteiro, senior vice president and area director, South Asia for DHL Express, said: “We are delighted to appoint Mr R.S. Subramanian as the country manager for India. With a career in DHL dating back to 2004, Mr. Subramanian has been instrumental in accelerating growth of DHL Express in India. His guidance has been influential in implementing measures that resulted in quantum improvements in process quality and team development. Taking over the new mantle in India, we are confident that he will lead the organisation towards consolidating its position as the No. 1 logistics player in the country.”

With over 20 years of experience, Subramanian brings to the table extensive knowledge in sales, strategy and marketing. Having joined DHL Express as the head of sales, he moved on to the position of vice president, RoSA, before taking on the new role.

Subramanian has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a Masters in Management from IIM, Bangalore. Prior to DHL, he spent 14 years with Hindustan Unilever Ltd in a variety of sales and marketing roles.
