Deutsche Post creates 700 jobs

Deutsche Post will create up to 700 new jobs in Bavaria as the company opens a new call centre. The centre, located in Fürth, will be the 15th and largest of its kind, and will be dedicated to the Post’s new Internet letter service, which will be launched later this year.

The decision was discussed by Deutsche Post’s Jürgen Gerdes, as he met with Bavarian prime minister Horst Seehofer.

Seehofer said it was a great signal for the workers in Nürnberg-Fürth. “These are the job opportunities the region needs right now.”

Gerdes stressed after the meeting with Seehofer that he wants he new service to inherit the quality levels of Deutsche Post’s classic mail offering.
