Demand for NetPosti increases by 50%

Demand for Itella’s NetPosti service has increased by 50% over the past year. Furthermore, the number of electronic letters in NetPosti has increased by 45% from the same period last year.

“When NetPosti was established in 2000, Itella saw that the world was increasingly moving towards electronic services. We were even ahead of our time. In the recent years, there have been significant developments in the service, and we have been actively involved in promoting the principles of the information society. This work produces agonizingly slow results, but we can be satisfied with the steps-or even leaps-forward that we have taken this year in the development of NetPosti,” said Antero Sarèn, senior vice president in charge of the NetPosti service.

During the first quarter of 2010, more than one million e-letters were sent to NetPosti, and more than 150,000 new users registered for the service. An all-time record was achieved in March as the number of electronic letters in NetPosti exceeded the limit of 370,000 letters.
