Faivre appointed at Toll Global Forwarding

Toll Global Forwarding has appointed Cédric Faivre as managing director for Germany. Faivre replaces Kay Uwe Gretsch, who left the company recently due to personal reasons.

A graduate in business studies with specialisation in logistics, Faivre commenced his career working in Citroen’s supply chain management in France, going on to hold a variety of senior posts in major logistics companies including Gefco and Giraud (now Geodis), where he headed up sales in central and eastern Europe.

He will be based in Toll’s German HQ in Duesseldorf, and “will spearhead the company’s planned expansion in Germany over the coming months based on the existing offices in Hamburg, Hannover, Duesseldorf, Munich, Frankfurt and Stuttgart,” a company spokesman said.

Faivre said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining this dynamic organisation, which is investing heavily in enhancing its global network and capabilities. We have exciting plans for the German market, which is an extremely important element in our total EME strategy, and this is all good news for our valued customers. I look forward very much to contributing to our future growth here.”
