Japan Post increases full-time staff numbers

Japan Post is set to create more than 8,000 regular positions of employment. From December, Japan Post Holdings will promote 8,438 non-regular workers to regular employees, according to Japan Today.

The company currently employs more than 200,000 non-regular staff.

More than 34,000 employees from this group applied for regular positions, with the interview process including written examinations.

The move forms part of the plan to stabilise employment rates at the Post.
