TNT: New Spain – E Europe Road Routes

Courier group TNT has opened up three new road routes linking Spain with eastern Europe. They are to Ukraine, Slovenia and Croatia, adding to those recently launched to Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey, said a company statement. TNT said it is the only company operating these new routes on a regular basis with defined transit times. ‘This opening up forms part of the development plan for TNT’s ground network,’ said Jose Ignacio Garat, TNT’s commercial director for Spain. ‘In the coming months the company plans to connect (Spain) with Greece and the rest of the Balkans.'” Garat said, “Our entry in the Ukraine and eastern European countries is a distinct bid for these emerging zones, whose trading links with western Europe will increase considerably with the entry of these countries into the European Union.
