Air Business Group secures Tesco contract
Air Business Group has signed a “landmark” international mailing contract with Tesco. The Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Irish national postal operator An Post.
It will oversee international mail distribution to a number of European countries on behalf on the retail giant.
The contract – announced this week – began on February 1.
Air Business Group managing director Adam Sherman said: “I can’t stress enough how delighted we are to have been chosen by Tesco to act as the preferred carrier for this very important project.
“This is a really significant win for us. I believe it’s also a fitting testament to Air Business’ ethos of consistently delivering the highest quality, best value-added services available, that we are seeing such an increase in high profile brands like Tesco coming to us for their distribution solutions.
“Hopefully, this is just the beginning of a long and productive relationship for all involved.”
The Tesco deal follows on from a contract win with The Guardian, announced late last year.
In October, the business announced a new distribution deal for The Guardian Weekly.
After successfully completing a trial run of The Guardian Weekly in November 2010, Air Business consequently secured distribution of both The Guardian and The Observer.
Established 25 years ago, Air Business was one of the first international mailing companies in the UK.
