MEDS 2011: "London calling!"
The Mail & Express Delivery Show (MEDS) is coming to London on 7 April 2011. MEDS is an independently-run one day event that offers post and parcel operators, and high-volume customers, the opportunity to get together to share ideas and focus on the challenges that affect their businesses.
The event – organised by Triangle Management Services – will take place at the Novotel London West, Hammersmith.
A plethora of executives and business leaders will address the delegates on a variety of topics concerning today’s ever-changing industry.
The conference will operate under the banner: ‘Mail and Express: The Developing Coalition”. The opening session will explore whether delivery mechanisms are converging in light of falling letter volumes and an increase in parcel deliveries.
The impressive MEDS speaker line-up includes: Tim Brown, chief executive of Postcomm; Carole Woodhead, CEO of Hermes; Nigel Doust, CEO of Blackbay; and Mark Lewis, CEO of Collect+.
Furthermore, Colin Cook, marketing director of The Army, discusses how mail will feature in future marketing plans; whilst David Smith, COO of Royal Mail, will deliver a presentation on customer experience.
A record number of high volume mailers have already booked to attend MEDS. Industry operators will have the chance to network with some of the UK’s premier brands, including: ASOS.com, GlaxoSmithKline, Santander, House of Fraser, Sainsbury’s, IPC Media, Harrods, Boots, and Tesco.
Customers spending more than £4bn on post, packets and parcels have previously attended the annual MEDS conference.
A number of leading industry names have thrown their weight behind the event as sponsors, including Intermec, Secured Mail, and Yodel.
Speaking after last year’s event, Steve Law, operations director at Firebox.com, said: “MEDS 2010 was a fantastic day to keep abreast of market developments and upcoming trends as well as make invaluable business connections.”
