DigitalShipper opens access to Stamps.com postage

Online postage provider and shipping software company Stamps.com has integrated its systems with multi-carrier shipping software platform DigitalShipper. The integration will allow DigitalShipper customers to print postage for all US Postal Service mail classes.

It will also allow access to online postage discounts for Priority Mail, Express Mail and First Class Mail, all within the DigitalShipper interface.

Stamps.com president and CEO Ken McBride said: “With the new DigitalShipper integration with Stamps.com, shipping personnel can now easily identify and take advantage of the cost savings the USPS provides.”

The DigitalShipper platform takes care of the paperwork for domestic and international shipping through various carriers from USPS, FedEx and UPS to regional players like OnTrac, Spee-Dee Delivery, Eastern Connection, Prestige Delivery Systems, Pitt Ohio and Lone Star Overnight.

It allows shippers to compare negotiated carrier rates and decide between ground and air services.

Michael Everson, president and CEO of Minnesota-based DigitalShipper, said the partnership with Stamps.com would help his customers make additional cost savings.

He said: “As carriers continue to increase rates at an average of 2% to 4% per year, shippers are looking for easy and affordable solutions to save money on shipping.”
