Imtech to overhaul IT systems at La Poste's Exapaq

La Poste has hired Dutch technical services provider Imtech N.V. to overhaul the IT systems at its subsidiary Exapaq. The contract is worth EUR 60m and will see Imtech providing ICT systems and outsourced IT services for the French postal operator’s business-to-business parcels division.

Imtech’s CEO, René van der Bruggen, said providing ICT solutions for logistics operators was one of his company’s specialities.

He said: “In the European logistics market we are one of the leading ICT companies and offer our clients measureable added value by fully integrated and precisely tailored solutions.

“The new contract for the France Post’s parcel services provider Exapaq proves our strength and is an important reference in the growing European logistics market,” added Bruggen.

Imtech, which has previously worked with Exapaq for a number of years, said it will use its own software systems to develop an optimal logistics solution, based on an open platform through which Exapaq’s various information systems are linked.
