Irish businesses offered expert advice on direct mail

Ireland’s An Post is launching a new website to help Irish businesses get to grips with advertising via the direct mail channel. Growmybusiness.ie will have an official launch early next month in Dublin’s Croke Park stadium, but is already available online for businesses to register to make use of the resources.

An Post said the free service would help companies increase their turnover with existing customers and also by attracting new customers.

The website will feature a series of online tutorials, campaign tips and case studies, but An Post is promising it will give small and medium-sized businesses private access to top marketing experts.

A series of regular talks with the “best marketers in the industry” is planned, to reveal insights on the best ways to market through the mail.

The website also offers up a directory of suppliers, as well as ideas on how to save on postal service costs with An Post.

The state-owned Post said it has worked with its SME customers for the last 10 months to develop the project.

Amie Peters, from An Post’s Mail Media Unit, said of the website: “It’s relevant, practical and targeted to Managing Directors who want to explore new ways to grow their business. The content features real Irish businesses, sharing their results and showing how they are driving more value from their customer base.”

The launch event for Growmybusiness.ie is planned for October 5th, and will feature Irish business experts Michael Carey, of Jacob Fruitfield, Emer Jameson of yourlocal.ie, Simon Murray of Universal Graphics and Gary Brown, Ireland’s leading Direct Marketing specialist.
