SingPost allies with 7-Eleven to expand access to express delivery

Singapore Post is partnering with the world’s largest franchise convenience store chain, 7-Eleven, to expand customer access to its express delivery services across the island. From today, SingPost said its Speedpost EMS Worldwide Courier Service is being made available at 192 7-Eleven stores in addition to the existing network of 61 post offices, 31 postal agents and 23 Speedpost drop-off locations.

The postal operator said extending its network through its new partnership would mean increased convenience for customers in the commercial district and heartlands of Singapore.

The 24-hour, seven-days-a-week opening hours would also mean round-the-clock drop-off for express shipments up to 3kg in weight. The Speedpost EMS service offers delivery to all major cities within one to four days.

Anthony Lim, the head of Singapore Logistics at SingPost, said: “This initiative allows us to immediately increase our customer access points and better yet, it offers our customers more convenient channels that fit with their busy lifestyles, providing them with the flexibility to send their packages whenever they want, at a location nearby,”

Japanese-owned 7-Eleven said the alliance with SingPost meant expanding the services available to its customers and making its stores “an integral part of their lifestyle”.

Tan Siew Shuen, business development and marketing manager at the company, said: “With our network of stores islandwide, our customers see and use 7-Eleven as a one-stop-shop; from food and drinks, top-up cashcard and ezlink card, paybills, ticket sales to, now, courier service.”
