Post Office offers new corporate services

The Norwegian Post Office, Posten Norge, wants to become more market oriented. An important aim is to take over the responsibility of companies’ archives, both manual and electronic, and all the internal document handling. 13 Norwegian companies have already signed new, more comprehensive contracts with Posten. Posten is opening a number of new corporate centres that will be responsible for serving corporate clients. Two centres have already opened in Oslo and Trondheim, while others are to follow in Tromso, Bergen, Drammen, Haugesund, Hamar, Gjovik and Sarpsborg. – We have to prepare for an increased competition for the postal services in the future, therefore we have to react when corporate clients say that it takes too long to stand in line together with regular clients, says Vidar Vilnes, regional officer of Posten in Trondheim. The new corporate centres will be open seven days a week, and the services customized to each client, he adds.
