Exel has won a contract to manage four cross-dock facilities in retailer The Home Depots product distribution network. Exel will provide warehouse management, inventory control, yard management, inbound and reverse logistics, and order fulfilment. Products will be consolidated and then shipped via a dedicated transport system direct to Home Depot stoers in each region. On initial start-up, Exel will employ 90 people at each location.
