TNT has 15.5% share of Portugese express market

TNT has a 15.5% share of the Portuguese express market and has been growing at an annual rate of 8%-10%, making it the overall sector leader.

However, Melo suggests that competition between the various express operators is “not too aggressive”, given that the market continues to expand, although he views quality of service as the main attribute that customers are seeking.

While standard TNT products do well in Portugal, the company has adapted its range to offer specific services for the Azores and Madeira and also for the former Portuguese colonies of Angola, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau and Sao Tome.
