ByBox acquisition expands field services network

Following the recent acquisition of DX Business Direct by the ByBox Group, the business has announced an increase in its footprint of locker exchanges by 365 locations. ByBox provide a supply chain solution for a number of technology based sectors and now provides its customers with over 1,500 locations for engineers to collect and drop off their spare parts.

Mark Garritt, Managing Director, ByBox said:

“In ten years we have grown our field services business from a £6m turnover to £70m. Our ability to provide a complete end-to-end supply chain significantly improves efficiency for our customers and removes millions of pounds from their cost base. We anticipate a large part of the market, with the advances in technology, moving from a ‘break fix’ model to a smart logistics solution. The acquisition of DX Business Direct makes sure we get the part as close as possible to the end customer and positions us perfectly for the ‘smart’ shift in the market, complementing other recent acquisitions in the field based technician space.  Echo – ByBox’s tech and logistics support arm – is a perfect example of how we’re achieving this, using flexibility to build solutions suited to each client requirement.”

ByBox has been operating in the field services sector since 2004, when it originally purchased DX’s field services division. It has been steadily growing a client base now made up of over 430 businesses operating across eleven sectors.
