DHL signs three-year Dubai 7s official courier deal

DHL, the United Arab Emirates (UAE)’s air express supplier, has signed a three-year deal to be official courier of the annual Dubai Rugby 7s tournament, which has Emirates airline as its title sponsor. “DHL’s long-term commitment to the event underlines the competition’s ability to consistently enhance sponsors’ exposure,” explained Chris Picken, commercial manager of Dubai Rugby 7s.

“Rugby is a sport followed by a wide-range of nationalities and, like DHL, has a wide geographic following,” said Ellis. “The tournament gives us exceptional branding opportunities and puts us ‘front-of-mind’ among a highly relevant audience.” The 2002 Dubai Rugby 7s will take place at the Dubai Exiles Ground from December 5-7, 2002. – (menareport.com)
