Pallets underpin profit

A trunker operating on pallet work a reasonably average yield rates should generate £450,000 a year in revenue with a gross margin approaching 25% after delivery and hub fees, according to Steve Hayward of Palletline. This can underpin a members profit, he told RHA members at its spring convention in Opio, France.
hayward, who spoke on the benefits of pallet networks, also disclosed that Palletline had set up a fuel buying consortium. He told delegates that one member is saving £1000 a month in fuel costs.
