IMEX announces results of transit test study for traceable parcels
IMEX Global Solutions has announced that recent transit tests for customers’ traceable parcels being sent from the US to the UK have shown that 98.6% of parcels are being delivered in less than five business days. “The results will not only please our customers but will also provide a sense of optimism for the busy upcoming holiday season,” said Robert Puppa, Executive Vice President of IMEX.
IMEX added that it tests its Global Parcel Solution (GPS) offerings via the Royal Mail Tracked 48 product throughout the UK on an ongoing basis.
The company continued: “Results also show that deliveries for parcels picked up on Mondays are taking the longest to deliver, with transits ranging between four and five days, while delivery time for Friday pick-ups have been averaging less than four business days, including one standout Friday boasting a 3.06 day average transit. In the world of tracked delivery products via a postal administration, the consumer is now able to enjoy a courier level of service at a considerably lower cost.”
Puppa added: “The ongoing performance testing is critical to holding our providers accountable but more importantly to ensure the services we provide are consistently delivering on commitments made to end recipients by retailers.”
