Make-up subscription delivery service ipsy raises $100m in funding

Online make-up subscription delivery service ipsy has announced that it has raised $100m in Series B funding from TPG Growth and Sherpa Capital. The company,  which was established in 2012, sends its 1.5m+ subscribers a monthly “Glambag” of personalized sample products. The subscribers each pay $10 a month, and delivery is free.

Prior to this funding round, ipsy had raised less than $3m. The company’s subscription fees do, however, add up to $150m.

TPG partner David Trujillo said: “ipsy has created a platform through which brands can more easily access customers, creators can connect with and expand their audiences, and consumers can discover new products and share these experiences via social media.”
