Australia Post opens Ararat “superstore”

Australia Post has opened a new superstore in Ararat, in south-west Victoria. The company’s “superstores” offer a range of enhanced parcel and postal products and services, including a 24/7 zone with additional PO Boxes and new parcel lockers that enable PO Box holders to collect their parcels at any time of the day or night.

In addition, the superstores will have a dedicated online shopping zone kitted out with Apple Macs and iPads (a feature which Australia Post said will be “coming soon”).

“Online shopping in Australia continues to grow so the introduction of a superstore in Ararat provides shoppers with access to postal services six days a week in a new, modern environment,” said Roger Revere., Australia Post Regional Manager Retail Services Victoria.
