SP Express buys TMP Direct

Logistics provider and order fulfilment specialist SP Express has bought TMP Direct – a 130-seat customer care contact centre located in New Jersey. TMP Direct was established in 1986 and – according to a joint company statement issued yesterday (28 October) – it has grown from a “high-touch” call centre into a “fully integrated customer care operation, providing phone, email, chat, social, text, and mobile solutions integrated with full-service order fulfilment”. It will now operate as part of the SP Express Customer Care Division.

“This is a terrific strategic fit for both SP Express and TMP Direct,” said Dan Collins,  who was formerly the president of TMP Direct and now the president of the the SP Express Customer Care Division. “This allows us to leverage our combined resources to target the e-commerce industry with a complete end-to end solution while continuing to develop our sales support and customer experience solutions.”

SP Express has a network of warehouse and distribution facilities across North America and Europe.
