NIPOST set to launch banking services for rural communities

The Nigeria Postal Service (NIPOST) is planning to introduce new banking services for rural communities. According to local media reports, Nigeria’s Minister of Communications Adebayo Shittu said that the banking services will be made available at NIPOST offices across the country.

Shittu also reportedly said that recruitment interviews are set to begin for the Postmaster General’s position.

The previous Postmaster General, Mallam Ibrahim Mori Baba, retired last year and Ade Enoch Ogun, the deputy postmaster general (engineering and technical), has been the acting NIPOST head.
