USPS testing adverts on back of receipts

The US Postal Service (USPS) is testing a new promotional idea: advertising its own products and services on the back of paper receipts issued at its local branches. According to local sources, USPS is testing out the idea at more than 200 sites across the US – as a way of generating awareness and saving on printing costs.

The test includes URLs (e.g. www.getmyusps.com/now) to help track the number of visits to the My USPS and PO Box sites.

The tests started this month and are set to run through to the end of July.
