Flubit partners with On the dot to offer same-day, one-hour delivery slots

Online marketplace Flubit will launch a new delivery service, called Flubit Go, thanks to a new partnership with On the dot. Flubit Go will allow online shoppers to specify same-day, one-hour delivery slots.

The move is designed to help independent UK retailers on the Flubit.com platform better compete with larger players like Amazon in the “super-convenient” fulfilment space.

The service will become available from this autumn to Flubit.com customers in London, Manchester and Birmingham.

According to Flubit and On the dot, the delivery service will “cost significantly less than Amazon’s same day service delivery and will be available to all users, unlike Amazon’s similar service which is only available to paying Prime users”.

Bertie Stephens, CEO and Founder of Flubit.com, commented: “Every year we’re saving our customers millions of pounds off the best Amazon prices, and now customers can get these savings and experience true convenience by receiving the product in their hand within an hour that they choose, that day, or at a specified time in the future – a privilege that is charged for when using Amazon. No other company can offer this on the scale that Flubit and On the dot can.”

Stephens continued: “Flubit Go is a great opportunity for online sellers to grow sales with a different profile of online shopper for whom convenience is king. If you already sell on Flubit, you can participate and list your products on Flubit Go for free and without changing your Flubit integration. You just need to hold stock within a 10-mile radius of the three major cities and be able to pick and pack an item in time for a collection.”

Developed in 2015 by same day delivery company CitySprint, On the dot is based on technology created specifically to help retailers offer highly convenient deliveries at prices comparable to next day delivery.
