Amazon announces more US fulfilment centres
Amazon is continuing its steady roll-out of US fulfilment centres, with new facilities planned for Romeoville, Illinois, and Jacksonville, Florida. The 750,000 square-foot Romeoville fulfilment centre will be used for large items such as big-screen televisions, sports equipment or kayaks.
The fulfilment centre in Jacksonville, which will have a capacity of more than 800,000-square-foot, will be used for small items like books, electronics and consumer goods.
