Europa adds second Italian service

Europa Road has launched an additional daily line to Como in Italy. Launched in response to the rapid growth in consignment volumes to and from the region, the route is the company’s first ever long haul service to have two structured departures in each direction, every day.

Europa Road will work with its partner in the region, Como-based Bianchi Group, to deliver the extended service, which will operate between Europa’s £30m groupage facility, 1hub in Dartford, and the Italian city.

Dan Cook, Operations Director at Europa, said: “Our investment in this additional service is a tremendous achievement for our Road division and a very positive sign of things to come. Despite warnings about Brexit by some in recent months, we are experiencing a great period of growth in our sector, in Europe.”
