GLS Germany certified for transporting medical products

GLS Germany certified for transporting medical products

GLS Germany has been certified in accordance with the Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines for the transportation of medicinal products. The DQS GmbH certification, which applies to all GLS sites in Germany, has been effective since the start of October.  It’s the first GDP certificate for a nationwide parcel service network in Germany.

The certification authority has also confirmed that GLS has successfully implemented an HACCP concept, which allows the transport of food.

The GDP certificate covers all non-temperature-controlled transports. It also documents that, on request, GLS guarantees delivery of products provided by companies in validated thermal packaging within 24 hours. GLS can also deliver passively temperature-controlled products (ambient transports) with the appropriate packaging in accordance with GDP.
