New MD for Menzies Distribution
John Menzies has announced the appointment of Greg Michael as Managing Director, Menzies Distribution. Michael, who will take on his new role on 1 January 2017, has previously held senior positions in the Deutsche Post DHL Group.
In a statement issued yesterday (7 December), Menzies said that Michael “will focus on the evolution of the print media supply chain and will bring his experience and creativity to the diversification and growth agenda currently being developed for the division”.
Earlier this month, Menzies Distribution announced that it has won a three-year national logistics contract with WH Smith, which will see the logistics company provide trunk services from WH Smith’s three distribution centres in Birmingham, Swindon and Dunstable to the Menzies depot network and final mile delivery to over 1,200 stores nationwide.
