Shipt partners with Costco in Tampa
On-demand grocery delivery service Shipt has added products from Costco to the list of items available to its members in Florida’s Tampa metro area. Through the Shipt app, Shipt members can order goods from local stores and have them delivered within the hour, or choose a one-hour delivery window.
Founding in 2014, Shipt offers unlimited grocery deliveries to its members for $99 per year.
In a statement issued today (21 March) about the tie-up with Costco in Tampa, Shipt said: “This addition is one of many strategic growth initiatives that Shipt has planned for 2017. By forging new alliances with national and regional retailers, launching new metros and expanding service areas in existing markets, Shipt has plans to offer its services to 50 markets and over 30 million households by the end of the year.”
At the moment, Shipt claims to offer its services to around 17 million households in 35 markets across the US.
