Tiger eyes STC parcel routes

Canada’s Tiger Courier is looking to take over a substantial chunk of the parcel delivery business that was previously handled by the Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC). As previously reported, STC announced in March that it would be winding down its bus and parcel delivery services following the decision by the Government of Saskatchewan to stop providing state subsidies to the company.

In a notice posted on its website on Tuesday (2 May), Tiger Courier said: “We are working on providing coverage to the STC points within Saskatchewan. We would be offering service to 155 points that would be serviced in our established network, while utilizing the current agent locations in those centers. We are in discussions with the current agents to try and ensure a seamless transition come May 19th.

“We will be posting the updated network as we have agents confirmed, along with other information as it becomes available.”
