Walmart and Cleveron “consolidate” click-and-collect cooperation
Retail giant Walmart and Estonia-based technology company Cleveron have announced they are “consolidating” their cooperation on click-and-collect solutions. A delegation of high-ranking Walmart executives – including Executive Vice Presidents Mark Ibbotson, JP Suarez and the Director of Corporate Development of Walmart Global eCommerce Tim DeSoto – visited Cleveron’s development centre in Viljandi last week to discuss their plans.
Cleveron’s Chairman of the Board Arno Kütt showcased some of the company’s latest innovations – which included the new “self-learning” click-and-collect parcel terminal Flex – and the delegation also met with the President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid.
Walmart’s Executive Vice President JP Suarez commented: “Cleveron’s been a good business partner for us. So we want to continue to explore with them the opportunities that exist in the United States and elsewhere.”
Cleveron’s robotics based click-and-collect parcel terminal PackRobot was first installed in the US last fall. Walmart tested the terminals before expanding the solution to other stores across country.
