Deregulation plan 'Half Baked' says TNT director
Plans to deal with the deregulation of Royal Mail were yesterday described as ‘half baked’ by the director of quality for express parcel delivery service, TNT.
At a conference organised by Junior Chamber International, Chris Fowkes claimed the idea of working alongside Royal Mail who would then complete the ‘final mile’ of delivery would be untenable.
He said TNT was ‘holding back’ until it could be guaranteed a share of the market of ‘between 25 and 50 per cent’.
