TNT Express opens multi modal transport corridor in Poland

TNT Express launched a road connection with Berlin, which will allow it to shorten the time of parcel delivery by 24 hours and to offer the so called Next Day service to the clients in most European countries. (6/17/2003)

The parcels loaded on the company’s truck in Szczecin will be delivered to the company’s Berlin-based hub, located at airport Tegel within three hours. The next step is the delivery of the parcels from Berlin by the company’s plane to an international logistics centre in Liege (Belgium), and from Liege to the addressees as quickly as possible.

Currently TNT Express has 15 offices in Poland. The company has also four distribution centres in the country in Warsaw, Katowice, Poznan and Gdansk.

Every day the company’s planes are making flights from Poznan and Gdansk to Belgium. The airports in Warsaw and Katowice have regular direct flights to Liege.
