DHL Danzas strengthens network in Turkey
Deutsche Post World Net has completed the purchase of Berben Express, the Turkish agent for DHL Danzas Air & Ocean.
Polat Bengiserpe, general manager and former owner of Berben Express, will manage the new Deutsche Post subsidiary.
Berben Express has been the top forwarder in Turkey for airfreight imports and No. 3 in air exports, according to DHL Danzas. Berben, which also has a strong presence in ocean freight, according to DHL Danzas, had net sales of $41 million last year. It has 160 employees.
