Royal Mail reports on Quality of Service targets

Royal Mail has reported that it exceeded its Quality of Service target for Second Class mail for the first three quarters of the financial year 2017-18, but missed the First Class mail target.

The company said that, over the nine months to 3 December,  98.7% of Second Class mail was delivered within three working days, against a target of 98.5%. However, over the same period, 92.5% of First Class mail was delivered the next working day, against a target of 93.0%.

The First and Second Class mail delivery figures for the third quarter were 98.6 % and 91.5% respectively.

The latest quarterly report for 2017-18 covers the period from 25 September 2017 to 3 December 2017 and was published today on Royal Mail’s website at: http://www.royalmailgroup.com/customers/quality-service/quality-service-reports
