Finland’s Posti has selected Tieto as its data centre and cloud services IT partner.

In a statement issued today (26 February), Yrjö Eskola, SVP Operations & interim CIO at Posti Group, commented: “For Posti, digitalization is the top trend that will change the industry. We selected a partner with whom we can stay on top of industry development and harness real-time information flows for providing better services.”

Eskola continued: “Posti’s strategy puts parcel services and logistics at the spearhead of growth. It also aims at a longer lifecycle of traditional printing services and responding more flexibly to customers’ changing needs.

“New technologies and increasing automation will enable us to improve distribution efficiency, maintain high quality and launch new digital services and business models. Logistics means managing information flows, and each of our services includes a digital element. Examples are delivery chain monitoring and consignment management.”
