Walmart reportedly looking at PillPack

Walmart has reportedly been considering plans to buy the US-based prescription medication delivery service PillPack.

According to reports published by CNBC and TechCrunch, the retail giant has been in discussions with the delivery start-up with a view to acquiring the business for under $1bn.

Both Walmart and PillPack have declined to comment on the reports.

PillPack was set up in 2013. The company reportedly achieved a revenue of more than $100m in 2017.

The online prescription delivery market has been attracting interest from some big players recently, with Amazon among the companies reported to be mulling over plans to set up their own service.
