GLS using eScooter in Dortmund

GLS Germany is continuing its roll-out of electric delivery vehicles, by testing the use of an eScooter in Dortmund.

In a statement sent to Post&Parcel today (2 May), GLS said the eScooter is now being used in the Dortmund city centre. The electric tricycle has a loading capacity of 750 litres and a top speed of 45 km/h.

Earlier this month, GLS announced that its Dortmund depot was trialling a VW eCrafter electric delivery van. The GLS depot in Nuremberg has been involved in the pre-service test of the VW delivery vehicle since February.
