Vaspex Brazil forges partnership with DHL

Vaspex, the cargo transportation services arm of the Brazilian airline company Vasp, is resuming the services of international deliveries through a partnership with DHL Express, expecting 8,000 orders per month and R$1mil income/month as of 2004. Vaspex holds 27 aircrafts of Vasp and plans to expand the fleet. It stopped such service in 2000, when Vasp stopped flying overseas – Vaspex covered 15 countries. The group may register a turnover of R$230mil in 2003, 37% increase in comparison to 2002, besides predicting a boost of 30% in the gross result. Vaspex opened 200 selling points between January and November.
